diao~

life Comments Off

So my banana brother asked me what is “diao”, my explaination for diao is super- unbelievably-underground-like-totally-smashing-uberly-chill-extremely-subzero COOL. That ought to do it. But my parents don’t like the word diao too much. it sounds too devilish.

I feel so detached from my origin. Wo Bu Yau!

Thoughts: This post is by far the weirdest one.  o_o

… dot dot dot

life Comments Off

So another weekend quickly ran by just like that again, it didn’t end with a good note.

Lately I have been studying Engineering Econ and I have to say it brought back so much memory (mostly bad ones) from university.  I have been hitting that bottleneck for so long, knowing no matter how hard I try I couldn’t overcome it.  Tonight is one of those moments when it hits me the hardest.  Knowing there’s no one around that could help me with the assignment, knowing prof wouldn’t want to reply emails (on a sunday night), knowing textbook doesn’t have similar examples, knowing lecture notes doesn’t have enough examples; it all boils down to me thinking creatively to resolve my own problem.  I mean it usually works fine with my brain coming up with ideas to resolve questions, but tonight didn’t work, it just won’t pop that stupid answer!

Bah, so frustrated… knowing my own capacity is the most frustrate thing in this world.  Knowing myself powerless it brings tears to my eyes *sobs*

Thoughts:  I need to spend more time studying! And less time facebooking!

Feb 24

Well, today we celebrated two friends’ birthdays.  We went to “Korean Restaurant”, like it’s literally called The Korean Restaurant on Yonge and Steeles.  We arrived at 8 and left the restaurant at 10!  I think they closed at 9 haha.  But it had good food we had a good laugh and the birthday boy got drunk on soju on like the 2nd shot o_o…  If I didn’t have to drive I’d hit it up at least 10 shots and crash on the table :P

Later on we had to find a place to cut and eat the birthday cake.  Green tea and red bean cake was picked by one of the friends.  I must say it’s an interesting choice seeing that I haven’t gone to the washroom for a massive diarrhea yet. We went to World Bowl and had the cake and one hour of bowling.  It was fun even though we didn’t even get to complete 2 games.  I miss bowling, I wished I continued where I left off in high school and perhaps go pro or something :P

Thoughts:  I can still do 150’s easily!  Maybe I should start a bowling team? Ah, maybe JLO will be interested…  maybe I’ll sleep on it… zzzzzzzZZZZzzzzz

wordless today

life Comments Off

I wanted to write something more insightful today but I’m wordless… Perhaps I wrote too much last night my vocabulary system simply just gave up on me.
One more week then I will be in Montreal :) I can’t wait for that, it’s like a mini vacation except it’s only a weekend long.

Thoughts: when did I become so creative in writing weird poems?!? If you can decipher the poem please write a similar style one back to me.

Thoughts #2: I think I’m too addicted to facebook… OR I’m just bored… o_o””

Feb 21

I was fairly prepared when I walked into the virtual test room.  After reading through all of the questions there was something wrong.  Prof had included questions that’s outside of the scope!  Dear Mr. Professor, sir, in life we play by rules and you shall too!

I think I did ok, multiple choice really bothered me as I can’t guess good enough ever in my life.  I call them multiple-guessing questions, it’s true especially when you don’t know what the hell is going on.

Now my head is filled with P, A, F, G, MARR, IRR, i… blah blah blah! Engineering Econ is HARD!

Thoughts for the rest of the night: how far are you willing to go when you realize life is too short and never have enough joys and tears…  OR…

it’s warmer today

life Comments Off

“Dude, you are writing way too often on your blog!”, said to self. But writing is the only way to get things off of my mind.

Tomorrow night I will be writing my first midterm for Engineering Economics and I’ll work from home! YAY! That means I get to sleep in and start work early at the same time. Anyways, it got warmer today and my tummy is extremely sensitive to temperature change, sigh.. Canada weather sucks especially eastern Canada…

My old work habit has started again. Back when I was working with BlackBerry I had it on all of the time during my waking hours and I’d be constantly connect to work just so I don’t feel left out and misinformed. Now this connection is back with old school VPN style (I wish work give us BlackBerry instead, I miss my crackberry so much), even though I know QA don’t get much emails during the day I still like to keep my Outlook open “just in case” something crazy goes down.

Thoughts for today: ring and tepee, do you feel the same way I feel about you?

So midterm in two days and lots of defects flowing in at work, there are so much to grasp at the same time. Oh why oh why I’m not born a genius?!? With a flick of finger and get stuff done just like that…

Thoughts: macbook or macbook pro. Aside from that, people under pressure tend to look scary. Fire in their eyes!

me and my iPod

life Comments Off

iPod is my savior at work.  When I’m lonely I have someone that sings to me.  When I’m bored I have someone that sings to me.  When I’m blue I have someone that sings to me.

Currently playing: I Remember You by YUI from Single - Rolling Star

Aside from that I have to start reading my textbook again.  Doing part time school is really tiring, because every free time you can find you are studying, doing assignment, attending online lecture or just plain staring at the lecture notes…

Something I have noticed how people talk these days.  People like to start their sentence with “For Example”.  Hmm..  I don’t know how to put it, but everything could be explained without using these two words.  Or put a spin on it to add a bit of variation, “For instance” or “Let’s say …”  This doesn’t bug me it’s just something I recognized that’s being thrown around a lot lately.

Oh and we got free pizza lunch at work today, it’s a bit oily but it was yummy. Our CEO actually went with the Chinese tradition and gave every employees a red pocket money.  That’s something I admire a lot, not many companies are willing to go this far as to make the employees really a part of the family.

Sin Nien Quai Le - Happy New Year to all!

Thought of the day: my tech support experience still gives me nightmares…

Feb 15

So this will be one of those post where I just will just put down my thought of the day…

Thought of the day: everyone has their stories and every story has a secret and every secret has a reason and every reason has a problem…  Do you get what the problem is?

Feb 08

I have been blogging a bit too much lately.  Writing my thoughts are good, but I don’t usually revisit what I wrote, if I do I usually find myself weirrrrrd.  Than again, I’m a bit weird to begin with…  That point aside let’s move onto another topic

Work has been relaxing for this week, except Monday.  I’m so free I’m finding things to do, like reading my textbook, listening to YUI on my iPod, doodling, day dreaming (brain, I know what you are thinking so you better shut it~)…  After talking to my supe, work may get super busy next week so the calm before the storm is definitely the right phrase to describe it.  Who knows, shit will start flying next week and I may have more interesting things to write about here.

“CALMS” - reference to the product my company offers -> I’m no fanboy!

Talking about work I will roughly write out who sits around me and people that I know.

- At the center of universe there’s ME
- 30 degrees in front and right of me is Edward
- 30 degrees in front and left of me is Jim
- Behind Jim there’s Peter (Our Princess Leia)
- Right next to him will be Jose (my supervisor)
- Right next to Jose will be Anthony (at work we call him dad)
- Opposite end of Peter we have Venisa
- Behind me is Vincent (the other QA on my team)
- Across from Vincent we got Meena (new developer that just joined the team)
- 90% from me across to the other cubicles we have Ivan (Santa Clause on our team, very jolly too)
- To his right we have Angela (our Business Analysis)
- Behind Ivan we have James (best buddy at work)
- In front of James we got Felicia (someone I respect at work, or else I get too much work)
- Behind Felicia we get Linda (another developer from my team)
- To Linda’s left we have Tommy (System architecture on my team and perhaps more)
- 45 degrees to the right cubicle from Linda’s perspective we get Justin (QA from another team)
- To Justin’s right we get Eric (One of the two Erics in the company)
- To Justin’s left we get Karlvin (with a evil twin brother Karlson by night)
- To Karvin’s right we have Hashim (another developer on my team, works on Doc Management stuff)

Did I leave anyone out?  Probably not, people on the other side of the office aren’t too important haha.  But mainly I don’t know their names so I can’t really list them.

I think I should get going, it’s almost 5, haha, what a good waste of 30 minutes. :P

Thought of the day: You are in my thoughts way too often, I can’t stop it!
